I’m used to Monster Hunter games being laced with crack, but Stories 3 is insane! The interaction between invasive species, endangered species, habitat restoration, and monstie mutations has me in a chokehold. I’m in the second area at over 40 hours and farming mutations is addicting!!

Honestly, I’ve always railed against pineapple on pizza as an abomination so I had to try it for myself. I can say unequivocally that it’s an abomination and not primarily because of the pineapple. It’s the Canadian bacon which I generally like that throws off the taste of pizza.

Playing SoulSilver is wild. It’s been so long since I’ve played an old Pokémon game I’d forgotten how challenging they are. It takes 3 of my Pokémon to beat a wild one. 💀

Pombon looks adorable but if we know anything about Pokémon, he’ll be bipedal in the end. And personally, Litten has done irreparable damage to me so I can’t trust Pombon. 😂

Pokémon Winds and Waves looks promising. Just by appearances it looks like they have listened to fans and stepped up the visuals. Not being limited by Switch 1 hardware surely helps too. Pretty stoked. 🥹

First time I fought 9 star Jin Dahaad. Easy. Piece of cake. Light work. Tonight. Two straight hours of failure. He got me the first few fights but later, my party members were getting cooked. Why did he have my ass so hard tonight??! 😭

Upgraded my PC last year with a Ryzen 9 and kept my old case. Under load my CPU was running over 90° which is normal for that line. However, I was getting a little concerned because it was super loud too. Got a new case this month and it’s running mid 60s under load.

Absolutely cannot wait to cook mfs in Monster Hunter Stories 3 with a Rey Dau on my team. 😌

I’m incredibly happy that we are getting a new Monster Hunter Stories game. After the 2nd game, I wasn’t sure we’d get another. The trial for MHS3 is fantastic too with flashy combat and even more depth than before. And every time I see Rey Dau in a trailer, I only get more hyped.

I usually don’t share too much about my personal life but thought I’d share that I’m going to be a dad in a matter of weeks! Excited to meet our little man soon. 😌

Stoked that we are getting an upgrade to Xenoblade Chronicles X but it still bewilders me that this wasn’t free since it released just months be for the Switch 2. Kind of scummy to charge for it but Nintendo is gonna Nintendo.

Every time a quality monster catching game comes everyone likes to dunk on Pokémon (as they should) but let’s be real, no one is unseating Pokémon from being the top dog in this genre. And Pokémon’s head is too far up its own ass to care or adapt until a trend is a dozen years old.

Playing video games brings me joy. Talking about video games brings me joy. I live and breathe video games. God bless video games.

I need Death Stranding 2 to come to PC followed by the Steam Deck 2 so I can play it anywhere

Death Stranding 2 has the it factor for me. There’s something I adore so much about deliberate planning for a mission and improvising when it doesn’t go to plan. I also love the feeling of isolation while contributing to the game’s world. I adore spending time in this universe.

As someone who generally laments the market obsession with multiplayer games, this actually looks pretty good. I’m interested. Also, don’t check the comments on the same post on that other site. Sheesh…

Nowhere near done with Death Stranding 2 but I can tell I’m going to miss it dearly. And I’m already chasing the high it gives me when I can’t be near my PS5. Recently released Cairn comes close but I hear Snowrunner comes close. Anyone have experience with Snowrunner?

MRW the “tutorial complete” achievement popped in Cairn (you mean the tutorial where I almost died 8 times after leaving the rock climbing gym where I thought it ended??)

Finally started Death Stranding 2 and it feels soooo good to back in this world. Not many games capture my attention so wholly but for such a simple game on the surface, this one has that special sauce that I can’t get enough of.

Started playing Potionomics and this game has charm! Love the art style, music, voice acting — all stellar. The gameplay loop is fun too even though I suck at it. Has to be the only deck builder game where you want ALL numbers to go up. 😌

My Steam Replay 2025. You can tell when Monster Hunter came out and when I started playing my Switch 2/PS5 later in the year. Sadly spent little time on my Steam Deck but hope to change that next year.

New regret unlocked: not playing Digimon games sooner. Superior to that other popular monster catching game in many, many ways. Cyber Sleuth has been a joy to play and I’m nearing the end. 😌

Stranger Things has had me on a 70s/80s/synthwave kick and I just discovered Journey’s Who’s Crying Now for the first time and just wow

Watched M3GAN 2.0 and it was a great cautionary tale about letting technology outpace legislation. Not as good as the first movie but still fun. I could go for a whole series of these movies now. 😂

Next year, I’m definitely not tracking/posting about the games I beat. I just want to go where the wind blows and play what I want rather than feel like I’m checking a box on a list. I’ve already been doing that the past couple of months and it’s been fun. 😊

I’m really enjoying Digimon Story Cyber Sleuth. Something about the mechanics and seeing favorites that are a blast from the past. I’m sad that it took me this long to ever play a Digimon game.

An incredible feat and well deserved. I hope this puts the industry on notice. Give us quality games with strong gameplay and/or narratives, make it fun, make it impactful, and drop the bloat.

This is great, but hearing stuff like this only makes me more frustrated with Pokémon games. 😂 Like look at the quality we can get on a “low budget.”

A few hours into Code Vein and I’m like wtf is going on with this story?? They explained things (maybe too lightly) and it still doesn’t make sense to me lol. It’s a fun souls-like though.

My PS5 has been collecting dust since finishing Ghost of Yotei. Meant to start Death Stranding 2 and just haven’t yet. Instead I’ve been playing Dark Souls 3 and ER Nightreign with friends and started Code Vein, Demonschool, and Digimon Story Cyber Sleuth. 😅

We got a new car! To go from a 20-year-old car to this — feels like I’m in the future lol.
