MS awareness week day 3 is heat themed 🥵 🔥 because of nerve damage from attacks some people with multiple sclerosis either find their symptoms are worse in the cold 🥶 or the warmth. From what I understand it’s due to nerve signals being slower especially if you have nerve damage 🧵

Today’s #multiplesclerosis awareness week thought is about disease modifying therapies for relapsing MS. There’s a number. Many work by immunosuppressing b or T cells or both in the immune system that can help drive attacks when in the brain or spine for people with MS 🧵

It’s #msawarensssweek - each day I’ll share one point about living with Multiple Sclerosis. Today is what it is. Essentially nerve damage caused by the immune system getting into the brain and spine and mistaking attacking nerves, causing various symptoms… @mscymru.bsky.social
