Water bill has just risen from £42 to £53 per month. I’m told we’d be much better off switching to a meter as there’s only 2 of us in the house (& a dog) at the moment. We buy bottled water to drink & don’t have a bath. Has anyone done this & if so, did you make a significant saving?

Here’s an idea. How about we make bonfire night a Saturday every year - like Easter is always a Sunday. Then when it’s midweek like this year we wouldn’t have to endure non stop fireworks on 2 successive weekends, the 5th itself & a few on all the other days in between.
