I'm thinking about how tonight was probably the first time Kilmar Abrego Garcia learned that millions of people care about him - the first time he learned that the United States Supreme Court ruled 9-0 to bring him home. I'm thinking what it must mean for him to know, right now, that he isn't alone.

Our for-profit health care system is not only broken & cruel, it's extremely wasteful. While we spend billions on stock buybacks, CEO compensation & denying needed care, Medicare for All would save $650 billion & 68,000 lives a year per CBO & Yale University. Let's get it done.

This is the simple pattern in everything this administration has done: They donât know what theyâre doing. The chainsawing of agencies, the market-tanking stop-and-go tariffs, the war plans dumped unwittingly to a journalist on an open channel. Theyâre idiots. They have no idea what theyâre doing.

Seeing folks on the other site claim that Alien Enemy Act removals are not reviewable by courts. The statute explicitly requires "a full examination and hearing," and there are literally *dozens* of reported cases from the War of 1812, World War I, and World War II:

The illegal deportations would be a much bigger story if it was part of a national discussion during a shutdown. This administration is doing unpopular things EVERY DAY that could be highlighted as ongoing justification for the shutdown. Instead, Sen Dems plan (Schumer) is to simply wait.

Current leadership is going to dither until it is too late. Schumer makes it clear in his NYT interview that the plan is to wait for the courts to save us. That outlook is increasingly an incredulous one.
