Another 2 cyclone systems in the Indian Ocean / #Mozambique channel. Not projected to hit Mozambique (Madagascar seemingly at greater risk) but clearly shows the elevated risk of climate shocks in this region - Mozambique already having been hit hard by Cyclones #Chido & #Dikeledi this season.

UNICEF & WFP are working together to provide emergency nutrition response to communities affected by El Niño-related drought and malnutrition in #Mozambique, aiming to reach almost 150,000 children under age 5.

Several districts in Manica, Zambézia, and Sofala provinces have seen sharp increases in acute malnutrition among children under 5. Urgent funding is needed in #Mozambique to reach 15,000 children who are at risk of missing out on lifesaving malnutrition treatment in 2025.
