How do you mean "relief"...

Had my paper rejected at a major NPG journal. One reviewer enthusiastic (R 2), two negative (R1 and 3). Problem is, R3 is a student of R1, and their reviews were even combined in round 1 so its hardly an independent review (quality of R1 aside) Should I appeal or just fuck NPG and send elsewhere?

OK, this actually happened to me: writing a grant I asked GPT to list me papers from XY on a given topic. It spat out papers that were basically my planned studies. I gave up writing and went partying. I was a bit puzlzed by the dates of those papers as I know what XY published at that time...

No kidding.
