A cold and windy day, so windy I had to literally hold the tripod down, but the conditions were perfect as snow clouds piled into the Northumberland coast bringing both darkness and light. LOCH RUSKY: After a vibrant and colourful sunrise, the mist began to thicken, gently calming the brightness of the scene and creating a more atmospheric and serene mood.

I'm beginning to think photography is doomed. I've just looking at the blatant AI photos that are being shared on Facebook and they're being lapped up. "Amazing photo" etc. the trouble is it isn't a photo.

One more, this one is an almost, but not quite. 📸 I'd seen the 'We can be heroes' banner and I was just wondering whether I could use it somehow. At that minute a fire engine came flying past with the blue lights on, unfortunately a bit too quick, so too much blur, for the shutter speed.

Last from last night’s #streetphotography not sure if I’ll try this again soon 🙈 but was fun to try something different 📷.

The woman within 📷 Another shot from my first evening taking #streetphotography. I took a lot of pictures, most didn’t work, too much movement in low light. I found more success focusing on individuals rather than wider shots. I enjoyed it at first but became increasingly self conscious.

How much is that doggy in the window? 📷 My entry for #sharemondays2025 this week is a bit of an experiment for me, my first attempt at #streetPhotography taken last night. Another shot (maybe more) to follow in replies later.
