🚓This morning, I had a constructive meeting with the PCC for Devon & Cornwall, Alison Hernandez, talking on rural crime, antisocial behaviour, & how to protect our young people from online harm. Now the focus turns to delivery, and progressing on those points. #Devon #Police

I hope that the PM demonstrates some principled leadership at this evening's state banquet with the President. POTUS alone has the power to influence Netanyahu, and those who harbour Hamas, to end this conflict, and stop this genocide.

Young people in Tiverton and Minehead have to travel far enough already to access post-16 education without this centralisation effort, which I worry will only decrease the accessibility of post-16 education options for my rural constituents. #Somerset #Devon #Education

Over the weekend I was near Ashley Combe, the former home of Ada Lovelace, to unveil a blue plaque alongside the Ada in Porlock team. Last week, I visited Home-Start West Somerset. 🤝 During the summer holidays, their Community Connect sessions have been so important for young people in Minehead - offering sports and craft sessions for those affected by the Minehead Middle School incident last month. #Somerset

I recently wrote to the Prime Minister to ask him to consider keeping the helipad at the Bristol Royal Hospital for Children open later into the evening. It was troubling to hear from Dorset and Somerset Air Ambulance that access to our closest pediatric trauma unit is currently restricted.
