I swear I'm still working on art in the background BUT... I did wanna share my momentous achievement of finally reachin' Top 10 in Splatoon!! It's been a goal of mine ever since they released the badges and I'm so happy to have finally accomplished it. ^^" More art progress soon. Probably.

Really feels like I'm just not gonna get much further than I'm at with this whole drawing venture. I have to learn to stop being so hard on myself, feeling as if I don't or haven't learned anything, when I know that's not true. Feels like I'm a lost cause sometimes. But I'll keep trying.

Yesterday was the 1 year anniversary of me beginning to draw. I've certainly come quite a ways but I still got so much further to go. At the very least, I'm still enjoying working on this, even if I'm too critical on myself. I'll try to be better about that.

Feels nice to put so much time into this but.. I think I'm finally feeling like I'm out of my league. Mainly with coloring. Think it may be time to do some more actual practice than things of this degree. I'm still proud of it so far though I don't think it'll go much further than this.

With some pointers from a close pal of mine..I might be onto something here....took 6 hours for this and so much more to fix, adjust and add....but I'm liking it so far...

Properly broke into a Magma with a BF of mine and his pals....I am never doing something this meticulous again... On the bright side, first full digital drawing!! And you thought it'd be Pandora. Hah! What do you think I am, predictable? Yes. Because she's probably next.

Didn't...expect this to pop off as well as it did but thank you all. Here's the finished piece including my first attempt at using a fineliner pen. I'd say that ink does wonders for making it look clean!!

Was at a lost when trying to make it fit on the page....but progress is bein' made...

Got some free time at work today and with a bit of effort and a LOT of erasing...not bad! Not bad at all. Probably gonna just leave it there but this was kinda fun to do! Yeah it's just a copy but I still worked hard on replicating it!

The difference between stylized drawings and drawings of real life humans is...staggering to say the least. I think the results of my drawings are rooted in my motivation. If I draw something I've interest in, it'll come out pretty good. If it's not, it looks like a child drew it.

Seems my interest and level of skill rises quite a bit when it comes to replicating stylized/anime drawings, compared to practicing IRL humans. The difference is night and day, both in terms of the effort I put in and how it actually comes out.
