To think just a few months ago we were all worried about indirects. If we only knew how much worse it would actually get! Is it even worth submitting an R01 right now? But that’s what is expected and what we need to do. Feels pretty hopeless right now.

Data are generally required to get buyin about disparities of opportunity that pertain to race, sex, ethnicity, etc. The Ginther report was essential for NIH grant award bias.
