I hadn’t connected the dots between “people think you know stuff” and “people actually trust your knowledge” before literally having it spelled out to me and it’s changed my relationship with my work.

One of the messages I think any scout needs to hear is one I realised over the past week. If someone asks your opinion, it’s because they think you know something. If someone asks your opinion twice, it’s because they trust your knowledge.
