We have a lot to celebrate today.     Washington was recently named one of the best states in the nation for workers. This year, we strengthened laws protecting youth in the workforce. We created a more level playing field for bargaining workers.

Protecting workers is in L&I’s DNA—going all the way back to our founding over 100 years ago. It’s even baked into Washington’s State Constitution: Article II, Section 35 directs the legislature to pass laws specifically to protect workers.
