I feel like a lot of new user friction for this site could be solved if the default settings weren’t so incredibly awful. Most people don’t dig into settings on most anything so having the default ones just being horribly detrimental to user experience means people bounce off more easily.

I'm used to tumblr where leaving tags is the norm but ppl get few replies to art here so a little goes a long way DW about speaking Japanese just use emojis like 🥺and 💖 'I LOVE THIS' or 'So cute!' show enthusiasm across language barriers just don't be faux mean like 'I hate it'😭
