Thanks for examples rather than insults, but neither of those is to do with civility; people who avoid the 1st and use the 2nd say they are concerned with precision, not politeness

Neither of those is to do with civility. You just disagree with them. Do you have any examples from New York?

No, because I really don't think that is what Mamdani meant; especially as he was personally civil with Trump, who is often not civil

I think that doesn't quite get how stakeholder-capture works across government. The farming lobby would predominantly have links with DEFRA rather than HMT where the IHT policy would have originated.

On this point, I know BSky has little sympathy for farmers, but now that the government has effectively admitted it got the policy wrong, it's worth revisiting a moment from 14 months ago that stuck in my mind, because it said a lot about how the government was developing policy...
