Muscling into reproduction — emerging evidence for the influence of myokines on the reproductive system. Kelly Walton delivered an excellent exploration of how multiple physiological systems interact to shape reproductive function.

Today we heard from Marissa Caldow @unimelbcmr.bsky.social on modulating myogenesis using natural bioactive compounds — an exciting new exploration in cell culture innovation, getting us to ask what are myoballs?

What can we learn from muscle contraction and local and distant adipose tissue. A fantastic presentation by Gretchen Meyer on the distinction of adipocyte within and external of skeletal muscle. #AuPS2025

We are all in this together — the integrated physiology showcased a fantastic mix of topics, spanning hepatic ureagenesis, muscle, renal, neuronal adipocyte, and retinal physiology. A big thank you to all presenters for such diverse and insightful contributions! #AuPS2025
