Two main goals in mind here: 1. Minimizing any chance of military or law enforcement use (also ad targeting, AI / crypto bullshit, etc.). 2. Staying under the radar of litigious asshole billionaire platform owners.

I agree that US institutions will never do shit about these fascists, but their partners and families and employers might, and I think thatâs who âGregâ is actually afraid of (heâs just filtering that fear through the usual paranoid conspiracism).

Just saw an âindependent journalistâ with 897k followers on here posting a screenshot of a tweet from a scammy anonymous news aggregator quoting an interview that they could have just linked to. How the fuck did we end up consuming and spreading information this way?

Do the journalists who think Grok "apologized" also think that when you get married to an NPC in Skyrim, you're married in real life? Do they check "married" on government forms after completing that side quest?

I agree that we need responsible reporting on this kind of thing, for any people out there who somehow still donât understand how bad it is. Some Bluesky rando making âsee, Grok admits it!â posts is practically the opposite of that.

Before I moved to Europe I didnât really understand how far north this shit is. Berlin is 800+ miles closer to the Arctic Circle than NYC. Itâs so dark here. Of course itâs a big deal that sunset today is one minute later than it was yesterday.

It's become completely acceptable to be openly racist towards Arabs/Muslims/Latinx with no repercussions. Tech and VC companies and their partners have amassed so much power that they do not believe there are any consequences to their actions or the systems they provide which bolster this racism.

Get off my lawn, etc., but it seems like itâs becoming socially acceptable in Berlin to bicycle through graveyards and I hate it so much. I could not care less about respect for the dead, but itâd be nice to have one kind of public space that wasnât given over to fucking vehicles.

To the folks who are very angry at me because of this skeet: it really isnât sarcastic. Thereâs some (mild) criticism here about a lack of transparency around policy and product decisions, but even that is coming from a place of love.

The European Commission has found Elon Musk's X to be in violation of the Digital Services Act. They're charging fines of ~$140 million US (EU 120 million) and giving X 90 days to show how they'll resolve the violations... otherwise more penalties would follow.
