In Rayman 3, about halfway through the game, you get to a desert level. In there you get into the catacombs of the Knaaren. Invincible and vicious. They'd chase you with sentences like "Let him run! Meat with salt tastes better."
It was night, I was alone in the living room, I was mortified. XD
