(1/2) 6 years ago, I was awarded the inaugural "Life Saving Safety Award" from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Albuquerque District. I still vividly remember the experience that earned me this award. Adequate training, equipment, funding, and staffing were all critical to saving a life that day.
