Years ago, T told me to stop trying to be a 'good daughter.' They'd never be happy. I should instead do what would leave me with no regrets when they died. Transformative. I stopped seeking approval and started just being kind. My mother is going into hospice. I have no regrets.

In my 20s I loved deeply, and was so hurt that I wasn’t loved back. But ppl have different depths. I was loved as deeply as they COULD love. They weren’t bad or wrong and I wasn't asking too much. Since then, I love where the depth matches my own. This works out better for everyone.
