Last night myself and my team hosted our inaugural Ward 4 leadership forum, which brought together community associations, Greenview Industrial BIA, Storybook Theatre, and CPS to discuss what the most pressing issues are in Ward 4. It was a great night of conversation and questions.

Today I attended the National Day of Mourning ceremony at Calgary City Hall. It was a somber reminder that many of the City of Calgary employees who serve the public make the ultimate sacrifice to do so, suffering occupational diseases and on the job injuries for their public service.

Hey neighbour! I was pleased to attend the 2026 Chief's Awards, where exceptional Calgarians, both civilian and sworn, were recognized by the Calgary Police Youth Foundation, Police Commission and Chief Katie McLellan for their bravery and selflessness in making Calgary safer.

I really enjoyed taking part in the Triwood Spring Market today. It was impossible to vote for the best art for the Brisebois Bees boxes because they were all so great.

Today I was pleased to attend the Nonprofit Chamber's Connections Conference alongside Mayor Jeromy Farkas. Partnerships are the key to everything my team and I do for Ward 4, and I couldn't imagine a better partner for Calgary than the chamber and its members.

Attending the small group exploration workshop put on by CMLC about potential transit oriented development in Dalhousie reminded me about why I love this community. It was great to see passionate community members discussing what they want their community to look like in the future.

Community building matters to me, which is why I attended Sport Calgary's AGM. They're building a great city through sport. Attending reinforced my belief that Calgary is a sport city and my support for Calgary's GamePLAN, which increases access to sport facilities.

Hey, neighbour! I was pleased today to hear Calgary would receive the third $64.7 million in Housing Accelerator Fund payment. Now council must do the work we were asked to do during the public hearing to fix our housing supply, and that starts with more local area plans.

Hey, neighbour! Today at the Infrastructure and Planning Committee I am supporting ensuring that we have well maintained playgrounds in Ward 4. I also want to recognize that communities that have had demographic changes need park amenities that make these spaces useable for people of all ages.

Hey, neighbour! I want to congratulate Jeremy Hansen for his historic achievement of being the first Canadian to travel to the moon and back. From being the parade marshal for the Calgary Stampede to everyone his historic journey, he has served as an inspiration for Calgarians.

Hey, neighbour! Repair work on the Bearpsaw Feeder Main has finished on nine segments of the pipe. With that, water is now flowing again and the water restrictions for Calgarians are lifted. Thank you to everyone for keeping the water use in the green zone for the past month.

Today me and my team had the opportunity to visit the 7-Eleven Distribution Centre here in Ward 4 at the Greenview Industrial Park. I got to see first-hand how dedicated employees, many of whom have worked here for 30 years, are growing the economy and serving customers through logistics.

Hey, neighbour! I was disappointed by the 2026 provincial budget. We saw a 21% increase in the provincial portion of property taxes. I'm introducing a motion on Tuesday that will create an annual report on the gap between City costs and provincial reimbursements for shared responsibilities.

Today was the opening of the North Hill Calgary Co-op which replaces the one built in 1960. It was personal for me because this is my family's Co-op. It is our pantry and it is also where we see our neighbours. I look forward to seeing this new location serve Calgarians for the next 65 years.

Today the City of Calgary announced that the planned spring shutdown of the Bearspaw Water Main would happen on March 9. As a result there will be four weeks of water restriction as six segments of pipe are reinforced. Regular updates will be provided on calgary.ca.

Two more preventible deaths on our city roads have left me heartbroken for those families. This traffic safety crisis is ours to solve. Every death is preventable. Please slow down. Put away the phone. Watch for pedestrians. No destination is worth a life. Let's make Vision Zero real for Calgary.

Hey, neighbour! I had a great time attending the Beddington Heights Winter Carnival with my Ward 4 staff. We loved giving out candy, Calgary Fire Department colouring books, and lots of City of Calgary information to neighbours on Family Day.

Yesterday, Cllr. Chabot and I joined our City of Calgary colleagues at the Manchester fleet and inventory buildings to learn about these essential City services. I was pleased to see partnerships and innovation (they've even created a few patents) are delivering efficient services to Calgarians.
