Finished King Sorrow by @joe-hill.bsky.social. What a month it has been. Wow. Just shy of 900 pages, it went roaring from start to finish. An absolute joy of a ride to read and word to the wise. Dont play with dragons. Much safer to just read about them. Just not out loud. Then it might be a curse.

Just Finished reading the last book of the year - Come Home, Katie by J.R. Erickson. A nice mystery to end this year with. Just enough suspense to keep the pages flowing, and makes it an entertaining read all the way to the end. After some dnfs lately, this was a nice surprise

Finished Proven Guilty by Jim Butcher. Book nr 8 in the Dresden Files series. And now there’s “only” 10 more books, until I’m up to date. That’s a lot. Well. Not the best Dresden book, but I’m in a slow reading period, so it’s fine. Waiting for the next book that will grab my attention. Suggestions?

I love when you come to a point, when you see an authors name and you know it’s going to be a good time

5 years since you decided on your final destination. 20 years together, was our lifetime. The memories are still raw. But time has thankfully, dulled the edges. But I can’t help going back and revisit the good times, even though there was darkness. Sometimes what you already have, is not enough

A Dragon of the Veil by @nicksnapeauthor.bsky.social. Wow, just wow. This book blew my mind. The writing had me thinking, that this one really likes his words. And it shows. And it makes you think. Not just “cruise along” style. But really work your brain. It’ll wake you up like a cup of coffee

The Ascent by @ronaldmalfi.bsky.social. There is something in the way he constructs the sentences and how he guides you through the landscape. How he navigates you through this hell of a journey. A tale of loss and holding on to something, that is forever out of reach. This one personally, hit hard.

Just finished The Queen of Bedlam by @robertmccammon.com. I fell in love with the first book and this one did not disappoint. An absolutely amazing series. I’ve only read two books, but already this is like magic in writing for me. Every page is just, a thrill to explore. I’m hooked and I love it.

Just finished We Men of Ash and Shadow by @hollytinsl3y.bsky.social. What a book. I loved it. It does not hold anything back. It will stare you right in the eyes and kick you where it hurts. Raw and brutal at times, but also with a heart that keeps on beating. It had me hooked from the start.

Just finished reading - The Wrecking Squad by @nicksnapeauthor.bsky.social. Taking a break from fantasy, I thought it would be a nice change with a fast and awesome sci-fi. And that’s what I got with this one. Full on action and claustrophobic whiplash. Grab this book and go for a spin in space.

Just finished Dark Theory by @wickwelker.bsky.social. This book took me by surprise and at about 800 pages, it took also some extra time to get through. But I loved every page and every single time I entered that world. This book has layers. Things kept unfolding, until the very last page. Recommend

Just finished - Oath Broken by Jarryd Smith. An urban fantasy, that if you’re used to reading Dresden or the Eric Carter series, you should be right at home. A fast and easy read, full of ghosts, magic and zombies. Not to mention vampires. Take a bite out of this one

Just finished reading - Forsaken Kingdom by J.R. Rasmussen. This book took my by surprise on how it felt fresh, yet familiar. A fantasy with a nice pinch of magic to keep it going, to the last page. If you want a read, that’s not too heavy. But just enough. Give this one a try

Finished - The Night Parade by @ronaldmalfi.bsky.social. I loved this book. Malfi is an auto-buy author for me. His writing is so alive and fresh. So wonderfully building in its imagery, that it grips your heart and doesn’t let go. And you don’t want it to. Highly recommend.

Haircut for the summer is done. Never been that short, for years. And my natural haircolor is still there, although the gray hair is catching up. Enjoy life. Live on. Be what you want. Don’t mind me. Finished - A Shadow in Summer by @abraham.bsky.social . This book felt like a dream. I don’t know if it was the way it was written or what. But it had a certain dreamy feel to it. At first a dnf, but I’m so glad I came back to finish it and have the rest of the series to look forward to. Recommend

A quick horror read.A dread that slowly creeps up on you and doesn’t rush anything, all the way till the last page

The Fury of Kings - Book One of The Erland Saga by @rs-moule.bsky.social , does not hold back its punches. Not shy in the least, of taking that extra step and making it feel fresh. With twists and turns, that can make anyone dizzy. This is a roller-coaster ride of chills and thrills, worth reading

Finished reading Those Who Dwell in Darkness by @stevemchugh.bsky.social . A book that starts in London and with vampires at war, behind the scenes. A rolling ball of a book, high on action and tension. That sinks its fangs in you and satisfies that thirst, deep deep down. Church is awesome

Yesterday I finished a book, but just barely. I liked it for a good while. It had a sense of dread throughout and was good on the suspense. Up until a point. A twist, or a reveal of some kind. And it made me so angry. At a book. There was no point to it. Like, at all. First time for everything…

Finished reading - Wolfeater by Anthony Mitchell. What a book. I love it. Beautiful and heart wrenching at the same time. I look forward to be reading more from this author. And more from this world, that he has created. Absolutely worth reading. Feel the cold. The struggle. The hope and the loss.
