I have to say, always an amazing singer…I’m just not a fan of her voice prior to self titled. There was a very distinct change in her voice and I can’t quite put a finger on why I perfer it.

I’ve been on my medication for almost 4 months now. I want to talk to my doctor about titrating off of them today but I’m also afraid of going into a dark cloud again.

I know this is probably wrong to feel but I’m ready for Pride to be over. It’s one of those months that I always have a hard time with every year. I still have to endure Portland Pride in a few weeks but it’s almost over

A photographer from Portland popped up in my Instagram feed today. First, his work was phenomenal. Second, I was surprised by how diverse his portfolio was. I sent him a quick message telling him how much I appreciated that. His response? “To be frank, my work would be trash if it wasn’t diverse.”

I think my biggest mistakes has been putting all my energy into trying to find a gay friend group. Maybe it doesn’t matter if they love him or capital HIM. Good people are good people. Maybe I should just be happy with the people who choose me and accept me for who I am. If if they’re all straight.

One day I hope to get to a point where I can celebrate pride. I went to a local community pride last weekend. It was mostly face painting, balloon animals and things for families but it was a start…

I don’t think people talk enough about friendship heartbreak. Losing my best friend changed me in ways I’m still trying to understand. I still want deep friendships, but there’s a hesitation now that never used to exist. Part of me wants deep friendships again, and another…

I must note that I have a slight allergic reaction to avocado but hoping the acidity from the lime juice cancels it out.

This morning I made a delicious Avocado Aji Verde sauce for my chicken tacos that I’m making for meal prep this week.

I don’t know why thinking about PRIDE sends my anxiety through the roof. Especially, Portland PRIDE.

Last night I went to The Eagle and was surprised that I was one of the few people actually in just a jockstrap and dancing. Most people were fully clothed, just standing around talking. First time dancing in 5 years. I sipped water, danced all night with a friend, and had a genuinely good time.
