For anyone who gets discouraged stepping on the scale, remember that a lot of the weight you’re seeing is glycogen, water retention, inflammation, sodium, food volume, and waste. Last week I weighed 188, and this morning I stepped on the scale at 198. Bodies fluctuate way more than people realize.

People really need to stop wearing red hats with white letters. My brain is automatically going to read it as a MAGA hat.

One of my peers in therapy turned to me and said “You’re always dressed so well. You’re aesthetically pleasing.” And all the other women agreed. I just wanted to sink into my chair.
