We went into the small town we live near to have dinner last night. We are fortunate to have a restaurant owned by a professional chef and his wife that would put most urban establishments to shame. @xrustytaylorx.bsky.social wanted to try Indiana’s state sandwich, the Breaded Pork Tenderloin!

My husband made a pumpkin pie for Thanksgiving. It has Dulce de Leche as an ingredient and a Biscoff cookie crust. I decorated the top with the leaves!

It seems like there is never enough space in our old farmhouse, so we took some dormer space in our attic to create a fairly comfortable guest bedroom. Like many things in our house it has a Western/Cowboy theme using some of my antique and vintage items.

Happy Halloween!

Well, I finished the details on my “pagan“ deer mask. Ready for Halloween!

I’m getting excited about my Halloween costume. I made the paper deer mask last year, then decided to make the antlers and ears three dimensional after I saw what @clarkrogers.bsky.social did with his mask. He did most of the paper mache work and now I’m painting it to resemble a gold pagan mask.

I’ve spent years collecting & curating furniture, art and antiques, and when it comes to my personal decor, I’m definitely not a minimalist. I just added two 1960’s paint-by-number pieces and an old print from my grandpa’s farmhouse to the grouping in our bathroom.

Ullr says “good Sunday morning. Now throw that darn ball !”

On my drive to the farm & feed store, I pass this magnificent Sycamore tree. I decided to stop and take some photos. It’s huge. Larger than the big maples nearby.

My husband, @clarkrogers.bsky.social has initiated “date afternoons” so we can have a relaxed afternoon date and still get home for regular animal feeding and evening farm chores. Today it was a movie and dinner. We saw the Taiwanese film “Yi Yi” and then went to a Chinese buffet restaurant.
