I agree with the statement but I want to correct a very common misconception. Vtubers weren't idols though? Nor is parasocial behavior tied to just idol culture because it predates it. The first wave of vtubers were never idols and the old guard still around are themselves just regular streamers.

The term "Peak" isn't enough to describe just how incredible this episode was. The setup, the gut retching and horrible anger, and the sheer violence of this scene. If you ever got the time, consider Kamen Rider Kuuga and go in blind. I can't give context because it would be cruel to spoil this.

Fontaine is just really the peak for Genshin in terms of regions and archon quest. I have a soft spot for Sumeru as an arab but Fontaine was really well written and fleshed out across all the characters involved. Natlan, in comparison, felt like a slight setback when compared to Fontaine's drama.
