It's taken 23 years but wow, this is definitely the home for Pitchstone Wall. Density of cycling creatures that immediately recur themselves and especially Yidaro for ticking up turtle count after blocking 4/4s for a while.

Intensity of attention on Wild Magic Surge in Yidaro is certainly at the hyperfixation stage. Impossible to think other thoughts.

Tempted to put Wild Magic Surge in as primary removal. Zowaya's Justice possibly as a backup. Upgrading their cheap deathtouch creature into a threat is a risk that is less present for downgrading their 8/8. There's also the angle of setting up what they become with a Witch's Cottage.

Part of the removal problem is that the four best removal spells are flash deathtouch creatures which most removal is going to just prevent from doing their job. They also already get pressured out by the stun creature that can be recurred.

I wish there were a Luminous Rebuke variant in red or black. Unlike with Pirates, Murderous Compulsion is always going to be a sorcery here.

Playtesting also demonstrates that Corpse Churns aren't unlimited. Eventually you will end up in topdeck mode where it's probably easier to stabilize against the aggressive plays and where the bigger threats end up able to try to reverse the race.

I really like Withercrown as removal that doesn't enable an immediate attack, especially with the hard timing choice of when to actually sacrifice the body, but it just doesn't feel like it does anything in this list because there are threats with haste and threats that already have 0 base power.

Discovering Witch's Cottage into Yidaro as a way to tuck something dangerous from the graveyard makes me quite happy. This adds meaningful counterplay that will prevent the aggro lines from being guaranteed.
