On the fifth day of School Psychology, my caseload gave to me: brisk winter walking, festive office decor, a mindful moment break, an office day, and helping to regulate students. I am so lucky to have four out of my six schools on one campus. I like to walk when I can, even in winter.

On the third day of School Psychology, my caseload gave to me: a mindful moment break, an office day, and helping to regulate students. Sometimes you need to walk away to clear your mind. I took a break from writing a report to go to the post office. It was just what I needed!

On the second day of School Psychology, my caseload gave to me: an office day, and helping to regulate students. I needed a day to score rating scales and make progress on a report, so that's what I did in my office today. I am really thankful for my office space.

It's Maine Lighthouse Weekend this weekend. We headed to Fort Point Lighthouse in Searsport, where the U.S. Coast Guard continues upkeep on this now privately owned property. This is a 31 foot light that uses a crystal lens that cannot be replaced. The ocean breeze was amazing.

We cannot boldly go into the future while we fear diversity. While our society has taken some steps backward as of late, it is my hope that someday we may aspire to delight in our differences and ideas to make life better for everyone. Boldly go, friends! Happy Star Trek Day!

Played a variety of board games with my family this weekend. To sweeten the win, the winner gets a lotto scratch ticket to see if they win a couple bucks. We played multiple games but none of the scratch tickets have been winners. It's been fun playing different games to pass time in the heat.

At least I got to visit one of my favorite places on the planet, Hampton Beach, New Hampshire, one more time before the world ends. It's really difficult to trust in the promise a rainbow represents when I know so many people will suffer for no reason other than greed and apathy.

We played the actual The Game of Life and the teen won! In our house, we usually play for scratch tickets. The winner gets to scratch a ticket and maybe win a little extra money. This time the ticket was a lower. Fun game though.

Family Game Night included The Game of Life: Mario edition, which is not like The Game of Life at all. Players collect stars to help beat Bowser in the final spin battle. It's quite a fun strategy game that captures the fun of the Nintendo Mario game series. We had a lot of fun playing it!

The sheer malfeasance and rank incompetence of this administration is so staggering and widespread that fighting it feels like trying to stop a tidal wave with a teaspoon. And yet, everyone needs to take out their spoons.

Our family played a bunch of board games with each other and a friend this weekend. Among the faves were Mall Madness (1990), Star Trek Ascendency, Ticket to Ride Rails & Sails: The Great Lakes Edition, and Dutch Blitz (not pictured). Whoever wins get a scratch ticket to potentially win some money.
