Lingering question for me ahead of tomorrow's Direct is how low-impact Nintendo published Switch 1 games will interact with Switch 2. Like, is Yoshi's Woolly World (if it's indeed being ported!) going have a Switch 2 Edition? Would there be a price increase between NS1 and NS2?

If the new Mario movie is *actually* called Galaxy per those leaks going around, that would be very odd because that conjures up a much more specific image of a game, whereas the other leaked title "World" is more diffuse now since the theme park is called Super Nintendo World

My biggest 👀 ever

I really am gripped by Metroid Prime 4 in a way that I've really never been by a game pre-release before. I get a little dizzy thinking about it sometimes. It's embarrassing! But I rewatch these trailers and my heart goes a little faster. Feels like I gotta get up & drink a tall glass of water

The reason I care about accurately crediting team size is because the actual headcounts behind Silksong or E33 are still very impressive! But they involve a lot of contract labor and support studios that need to be highlighted, celebrated, and advocated for. These games aren't possible otherwise

Even though the title veers negative, the conversation here is pretty even-handed and Abram gives DxD a useful framing that seems otherwise absent in a lot of the game's coverage. Worth a listen if you, like me, are not yet done thinking about this strange little experiment.

My contention regarding World is that I don't think the game needs new content, it needs more options for the content it already has. Why isn't there a random option for 3-lap VS races? Why can't I sequence a Knockout Tour out of any 5 adjacent tracks? Why is Balloon Battle elimination only?

I was playing some Mario Kart World last night, VS 3-lap races, & was really appreciating how it still feels like I barely know these tracks 3 months later. Dry Bones Burnout in particular is so dense with grind rails and alternate paths. These are purpose-built to retain novelty over 100s of races

I'm taking my time to luxuriate in a very slow playthrough of SW Outlaws. The game is wonderful in its smallest quests and Sabaac tables. I so enjoy the way these activities involve me in the world and incentivize me to fully explore its systems
