IMO a lot of Star Fox 2026 takes suggest an unwillingness to accept that not every Nintendo game is an s-tier production. There's this idealistic view that any Nintendo series is the "right" game away from exploding into mainstream dominance (see Prime 4 discourse) but sometimes that's not the goal

U-turns and somersaults were annoying to pull off in Star Fox 64 on NSO with Joy-Con or a Pro Controller, I basically couldn't play the game unless I used the N64 pad.
