Really enjoying my replay of Metroid Prime 3. Call me Eric Adams the way I love Corruption

You've got FOUR DAYS left to get the fancy-schmancy version of my new book. The whole package for this one is so gorgeous, I am truly excited about it.

That said I'd caution against thinking this is gonna mark some inflection point in the history of consoles. This is attractive to me as someone hardcore enough to be posting about it on Bluesky. Will Steam Machine even be sold in retail stores? (inb4 VALVE JUST CHANGED GAMING FOREVER headlines)

I'm a real hater of my current non-Nintendo systems so if I can get this Steam Machine at a fair price and not deal with any of the other next-gen hardware that would be super sick. Nintendo's my main thing so just having Switch 2 + 1 would be great. I feel like a goofball having so many consoles

I'm really worried about unc-posting one day. I love SoundCloud era trap and don't want to hate on guys like Che or OsamaSon or Xaviersobased for making super distorted, chaotic trap that appeals to people younger than me. (How ppl older than me hate on Carti & Uzi & Thug). So I'm listening to more!

Age of Imprisonment is the first miss of the Switch 2 era for me. Probably not gonna see this one through. I find the plot so weak, its presentation even weaker, and while the action is satisfying the context weighs it down. But Nintendo's year is so packed we're onto the next big game in 9 days!

I have something of an affinity for the Mario Movie insofar as it's diverting and colorful and has a lot nice gags and details for fans. But it's also as thinly plotted and meaningless a children's move as you can make with a good conscience. How can I get hyped for the Galaxy movie. be for real

Age of Imprisonment is really really fun to play but MAN does the plot (and its presentation) just have no aura. 2 hours in, the goings on feel super boring and reliant on me being intrinsically interested in seeing *more* of these characters doing stuff. I'm not that kind of Zelda fan I fear

This clip illustrates how Dread Samus and Prime Samus are different. In Dread, Samus steps into enemies for a counter & kill. In Prime 4, Samus steps back and has her missile swatted away. The former is about feeling indomitable, the latter is about overcoming great odds. Two awesome interpretations

This doesnt fit into a post neatly but I really like how ZA situates the player. Most Pokémon stories are about leaving home for the first time to discover something about yourself. ZA lodges you in a community and asks you to help out towards a common goal. And to reflect on why you do that.

I finished ZA this morning! Awesome. Love how it bravely re-examines the relationship between ppl & Pokémon, there are a lot of great story and mechanics opportunities downstream from that. Less sold on its last few hours that pivot awkwardly in XY fan service!

eeeeeek I gotta be honest I am sort of a New Horizons hater BUT partially bc I think the game is stranded between Minecraft sandbox god game and friction-ful life sim. I love that the new update is going all multiplayer Creative mode!! Feels like the natural conclusion of where modern AC is trending

I'm always confused about why most remakes are followed by a chorus of complaints that some old design decision has been revised. Why are we so protective of a classic game's integrity, were these creative choices so sacred? Is every modernization necessarily a compromise? My answer to both: no!

Gotta say its hard to overstate the value of gamecube games on NSO for me. Im planning my week around the Luigis Mansion drop! And I've already played that one! When Path of Radiance or the Pokémon games show up... they'll be like my most anticipated games of whatever month lol

I think the way Legends ZA sequences and progresses the main quest is great. I'm on Mission 24 and am enjoying how the game introduces new factions (like the Rust Syndicate) or Wild Areas that keep Lumiose feeling alive, while also rotating me through Royale Promotion and Rogue Mega battles.

I think seeing The Weeknd and Carti perform Rather Lie is the best thing that's happened to me all year
