As our team continues to grow, it’s important to us to keep talking about what belonging means, both individually and together. This workshop gave us a hands-on way to reflect and connect We came away with some really clear ideas about what helps people feel a sense of belonging at Settle.

Last week’s report from the Education Select Committee rightly highlights the urgent need to improve financial and housing support for care leavers. At Settle, we believe every young person deserves the best possible start to independence. We often talk about the challenges care-experienced young people face – but we don’t always hear enough about the pride that comes from overcoming those barriers and building a life on their own terms.

Yesterday, we were very happy to be with Drive Forward at the #CareToCareerFestival. We were there all day and had the opportunity to talk with job seekers about how the Settle Programme could support them to feel more at home.
