More than 300 displaced villagers, many of them children, are suffering from skin diseases and urgently need medicine in Laung Lon Township, Dawei District, Tanintharyi. The outbreak began around June 2024 among internally displaced persons who fled their homes. It has since spread widely.

In Ye Township, Mon State, the military junta has once again resorted to brutal tactics, abducting six local men & forcing them to serve as human shields during their ongoing operations. Beginning on September 25, nearly 300 junta soldiers divided into three columns and launched a series of raids.

On September 23, junta troops from LIB No. 545 launched artillery strikes targeting Koh Dae Sai and Koh Wah Boe villages in Kyon Paing village tract, Kyon Doe Township, Kawkareik District, Karen State. The shelling left seven villagers injured and badly damaged the Buddhist monastery in Koh Dae Sai.

Almost 1,000 people from Yebyu Township, Dawei District, remain displaced and in urgent need of humanitarian support after junta forces burned down homes and forced villagers to flee again. The crisis began on Aug. 27 when clashes broke out between 100 junta troops & local resistance fighters.

⚠️Since March 14, 2025, there have been heavy armed clashes between the military junta and the joint forces of the Karen National Liberation Army, alongside the Kaw Ka Rate – Kyone Doe Asia Highway, located in Kaw Ka Rate Township, Karen State.

Ongoing offensives by the junta in Karen State are disrupting not only the lives of thousands of civilians but also the futures of young students. Since April 2025, artillery and air attacks on Kyone Doe Town and surrounding villages have forced more than 20,000 students to flee.

⚠️On June 14, without any active fighting in the area, two women from Bilin Township were injured after junta troops fired artillery shells into civilian areas. The attacks targeted villages within the Aloo Gyi and Hna Pyaw Taw village tracts, where residents had been going about their daily lives.

In Bilin Township, #Mon State, two young men were arrested and forcibly conscripted into the military by a junta joint inspection team after being caught driving an unlicensed vehicle, according to sources close to their families.

⚠️In Mon State, the military junta has been arresting owners of unlicensed vehicles as well as those with temporary licenses, extorting 80% of the value of these vehicles from them. Failure to pay results in vehicle seizure and imprisonment for one to three months.

🚨 HURFOM strongly condemns the ongoing airstrikes being carried out against innocent civilians by the military junta. Most recently, three children were killed and more than 35 wounded in #Karen State. 🔗 shorturl.at/DiJZ0

🚨At least six civilians, including three children, were killed when junta aircraft dropped bombs on Pai Yap village in Kawkareik Township, Karen State. The airstrike occurred at 2 PM on June 9, despite no ongoing clashes in the area. Witnesses said five bombs were dropped directly onto the village.
