“Underneath” This piece is about the self-destructive side of deep depression, hiding underneath the surface. I am sure though that having an incredibly sore throat a few weeks back was, at some subconscious level, a seed for this painting. #darkart

Very important detail that @johnchen.com.au pointed out after I mentioned my switch, and was able to register it. Honestly, this should be kind of a default thing on @bsky.app, or at the very least an option to "reserve" that old handle when switching.

A peek at what I am working on right now. This time of year I hardly get much of a chance to do any art, so this has been moving very slowly unfortunately, but really itching to just jump back to it right now. Damn responsibilities...

These two pieces were among the first after a 13-year or so pause in art. The reasons for this hiatus are complicated, but they revolve around mental health and life events that made the process of painting incredibly painful. In 2019, I got an ipad and that helped me return to creating once again
