I think I have found a way to fix the rubbery old Reaper Bones 1 figures. Soaking them in a Chloroxylenol based disinfectant (Dettol for example) causes the PVC to stiffen over time. The product yellows but becomes far more stiff and a pleasure to paint. I set mine aside for a year to check...
