I'm playing #NetHack, partway through Sokoban. I encountered a chameleon disguised as a dragon, and managed to kill it. Ate the corpse, was transformed into a female blue dragon and laid an egg... NOW I HAVE A PET BABY DRAGON THAT CAN BREATH LIGHTNING HOLY SHIT.

I saw something truly horrifying today...

#Python is an OK language. I haven't used it for anything super intensive, and there was definitely a learning curve coming C-style langs, but it's not terrible at abstracting away the fiddly details. I did hit a few gotchas though, so here's the ones I can think of. 🧵
