"It's a side project, mostly. Gaara requested that I make this. His student seems to be quite attuned to wind Chakra, so as a test, he wants me to recreate a mock version of my first fan. I'll be over there for about a week, just to make sure the kid knows what they're doing before coming home." +

"I'm just about finished. Just need to place in a few finishing touches then let the paint dry before mending it together." She places a hand on one of the board pieces. "Believe it or not, this fan isn't for me. It's for a student back in Suna."

Her hand froze before she quickly placed her paint brush back into the ink as a sigh left her lips. "Hello to you too, handsome. Did you have a pleasant nap?" Temari leaned back into his hands, allowing the knots in her shoulders to become untangled from his gentle movements.

Temari could be found sitting on the back patio with several fresh planks of bamboo laid out while carefully painting symbols over them. She hummed softly, making sure everything remained still. Looks like she was making herself a new fan.

"Oh, hey there kiddo. I hope you've been staying out of trouble.."

Good answer. He's safe from sleeping on the floor. ♡

She raised a brow at him. "Really? Huh.. I'm surprised at you, Shikamaru. Why didn't you go to confirm whether it was him or not? There's nothing worse than struggling with self-doubt from the past."

"Oh, that's good to hear - at least about Red going into the academy." Her lips twisted a bit. "Are..you referring to your Sensei?"

"Shikamaru..?" Temari wraps an arm around his waist as she leans her head against his shoulder. "Is everything alright?"
