My own novel leans heavily on the events of the Chilean Civil War of 1891 to avoid placing it within the constricts of any recent conflicts! And I think that SF has a lot more history to plumb the depths of to tell more stories!

Fallout Season 2 feels a bit sedate and slow so far. I enjoyed the sorta look at Shady Sands in episode 2, but other than Hank mucking around in Vault Tech HQ(?) little has advanced the plot. Meanwhile the Brotherhood are acting like meatheads with no political context to their scheming.

Both anecdotally and with data people are pretty unambiguously concerned over unregulated AI. Politicians meanwhile are once again tilting in favor of wealthy techbro fantasy rather than what should be a slam dunk win for any astute political observers.
