its sooooo fun to care abt things in a dnd game. its so fun n easy

while i wanted him to have the strong capacity to care (and the general capacity for devotion) i also didn't want him to be like. easily doormat into being someone's servant, which i thought would be boring to play, so i offset all this by making him unpleasant LOL

if other people had the ability to play roma and i had pitch playing roma to other people, i think one thing i would offer is that playing him he feels so very solid in his identity and his ideals, and there's a purity of the way he expresses himself because of it

(thinky) one of the main fantasies of roma for me (i.e. the fantasy of playing a character) is 1) pure emotional honesty and expression 2) the ability to care for others without worry or limit
