if you accept that it's fine to write e.g. a serious story about rape and its consequences, but unacceptably fetishistic depictions of rape must be censored, then someone has to make the judgment of what constitutes unacceptably fetishistic. the line is not actually obvious

You don't have to like it. You don't have to accept it. You can criticize it to hell for all I care. And you should. Art existing doesn't mean it's free from scrutiny but art is how culture moves and art is how people learn what exists in the world without having to live it.

But even all that aside, the main reason I believe fiction shouldn't be censored is because EVIL SHIT HAPPENS IN REAL LIFE and fiction has every right to reflect, inspect, magnetize, and interact with REAL LIFE. stories are experiences that are TOLD and HEARD. Conversations shouldn't be taboo.

Yeah, I worked in customer support and, if it's a 'peak' of one day, they will not care. They'll wipe their hands and say "ok, volumes are back to normal, it's fixed" If after a week they are still receiving pressure... Then they'll begin to get nervous
