Goldenrod visitors! We have a Slender Twig Ant facing off with a Thynnid Wasp; a Red and Black Mason Wasp; and a shiny blue elephant mosquito! These giant mosquitoes feed solely on nectar as adults, while their larvae are predators whose prey includes other mosquito larvae, making them beneficial.

Titmice having to nearly unhinge their jaws to grab and fly off with peanuts that are half their body size will always be funny to me. But when I offer shelled peanuts to make it easier, they still take the whole ones. As small as they are, they can chip through those shells no problem!

Last year, I watched this young Eastern Cottontail (Sylvilagus floridanus) grow up from being able to fit in the palm of my hand to nearly adult size. After a couple months, it vanished, either eaten by a predator or found its own territory. Was cool to see though #mammals #wildlife #nature #animals

Finally returned to this. Haven't yet figured out a color scheme, and I'm not even sure if I want that to be a moon or sun behind them. But one thing is certain: it's going to be done in colored pencils, thus my wrist will suffer. Fun fact: I drew nearly 800 feathers, if you include the tiny ones.
