I don't love every aspect of bluesky's culture. It's not perfect. But, what bluesky's culture does have going for it is that it's the genuine product of the people who are here, rather than the skinner box manipulations of a drug-addled reactionary man baby. I'll take that choice any day.

I believe I am what would be called lyric deaf. Vocals are usually just another layer of timbres and rhythms. In any language, unless I'm consciously paying attention. Which means I'm sometimes making nice discoveries. (Pretty sure I've posted this before, but somehow it's never not appropriate.)

So I learned that the Chat thing is down through desperate posts on the other platform because without the Amazon burning, water wasting machine, how will people ever know how to make hash brownies there's just no way.

But, re: last post, I also got a major scrape by climbing an inflatable waterslide island. And by climbing I mean failing to, miserably.

We went swimming today. Like, with bikes to the community pool. Which, in this combination, I may had literally not done since childhood. Nice.

Since I had lived on my own I have been cooking for myself and then - for the past 14 years - every 2nd day for the family, but this pandemic year may have unlocked a new tier of skill somehow. Like the range of dishes where I can wing it has expanded greatly. Very pleased with today's Enchiladas.
