Heads up to anyone in NL attending #ICA25. If you need a visa, the American Consulate in Amsterdam is closed for three months for repair (nl.usembassy.gov/visas/). Their website states "visa applicants ... will need to seek appointments at alternate U.S. embassies or consulates in other countries".

When I planned this, I feared it would get worse. I didn’t expect it to go this fast. I don’t know how yet, but I do know that we need to band together to protect science; to support our colleagues who are losing funding and whose work is being washed (away). Stay tuned.

My work is typically a whirlwind. Running a graduate school while being a researcher and mentor is a delicate balance. #academia I’ve started booking 4 writing weeks per year to help me have focused research time. Productivity, nature walks, strong coffee. Good for the mind and the soul.

Well this seems bad, a flood of lawsuits filed based on weak evidence, which in turn is driving how we talk about social harms… A lot of money, time, and energy is about to be wasted because moral entrepreneurs hate social media more than they actually care about evidence and protecting kids.
