I love the “anonymous” work surveys that ask demographic questions at the end. Of all the Asian males who’ve worked in our media department for nine years, I’m exactly one of one.

A year ago I lost my best friend of 15 years. Rather than just feel sad about it (there’s been a bit of that as well), I’ve spent the day doing things she loved: went for a run in the park. Talked to strangers. Took a nap. And then I went and got tattooed. She probably wouldn’t have enjoyed that.
