Sorry I haven’t been posting today for #JMIH2025. Today was day 1 of 2 full days of the our “Know Better, Do Better” workshop series! Really powerful conversations in a very fraught time, and I’m so grateful for the JMIH societies for stepping up when our funding was yanked.

One thing that I’ve been struck by in the #AES2025 depredation symposium is how much the speakers are praising social science techniques and social scientists. I don’t think that is something we would’ve seen a decade ago. Hurrah for interdisciplinarity!!

I spied the National Parks Service logo from the #JMIH2025 venue. Turns out there’s a nice little NPS visitor center in the lobby of the science museum across the street. Got my NPS passport stamp, enjoyed the center, and then took a few minutes to gaze at the mighty Mississippi.
