#1 The Witness: It insists upon itself. I mean it. #2 Shadow Labyrinth: Missed potential wrapped in frustrating level design. #3 Nights: Journey of Dreams: Held back by poor controls and unnecessary platforming sections. #4 Half-Life 2: Really hasn't aged that well.

TLOZ: A Link to the Past (SNES, 1991): Despite having been surpassed by every Zelda since, it has some undeniable charm. I love how half the items are optional. However, it gets too cryptic and hard near the end, and the Dark World isn't utilized well. Still, worth playing to see where it all began.

In hindsight, I feel I was too harsh on this one. The difficulty spike was bad, but I should have experimented more with different weapons and playstyles. I barely even used magic weapons or combos. I still wouldn't call it perfect, and Ecclesia was better, but it's still a fantastic game overall.

Well, my Friday plans are sorted.

Order of Ecclesia (DS/Switch, 2008): "The hardest Castlevania". More like the BEST one! Is it tough? Sure. But WAY more fair than the others. Graphics are gorgeous, especially the animation for absorbing glyphs. Even gave me Castlevania 2 vibes, which it has now surpassed as my favorite. Solid 9/10.
