Today in 1967, representatives of the nations of Latin America and the Caribbean (except Cuba) assembled in Mexico City to sign the Treaty for the Prohibition of Nuclear Weapons in Latin America and the Caribbean (the Treaty of Tlatelolco). It took effect on April 22, 1968.
