Just a weird little render test I made to see MoGraph tools in action. There's a couple of flickers in the animation that are just from changing settings during the render to see if I could cut down render time without major quality issues. Went from 21 seconds a frame to 7.

If you want to run an atomic linux distro like Silverblue, Bazzite, etc. but use Blender and can't access hardware rendering, don't use the Flatpak, but just grab the build off the Blender site and run that. It can access the GPU directly even when the Flatpak can't.

I need more cooling. Render is GPU based, but the setup for each frame still pegs the heat on the cores at 80+ celsius. The throttling limit is 95 celsius, which it might reach on a longer render.

This is so weird. I've tried 3 different versions of Proton so far (Valves, Glorious Eggroll, and EM) and all three give me a GPU time of about 10-11 milliseconds per frame at the same settings I used in windows 11, which was getting 4.3 milliseconds per frame. #ARCRaiders

Windows is getting new AI features that can be hijacked by prompts hidden in images on websites. Imagine looking at a picture and a prompt injects a command into your OS AI which starts a secondary task that contacts remote servers and updates a bad actor with activity on your machine.

Weird boot failures have plagued my machine since I did the early 2024 upgrade, and even after I switched B650 chipset motherboards. The debug LEDs would randomly indicate GPU, CPU, Memory, so weren't of help. Today, I finally found the solution.
