My last on Nikki. I visited Virginia Tech twice to give Divine Nine lectures, and Nikki would be in the front row each time. It's hard to explain, but Nikki's physical size is tiny, but her presence?? Jesus Christ. I've lectured at over 1000 schools over 25 years. Only times I was nervous. LOL

After the poetry workshop, Nikki and I get in her little sports car. I'm 6'1 and Nikki is TINY. So when we get in the car, I'm a bit concerned that she can't see the road. Didn't matter anyway.

So back in 2000, I was signing copies of the Divine Nine at the Delta convention when I hear Nikki's voice. It is unmistakeable, but the LAST voice I thought I'd every hear addressing me. She says, "Is that Lawrence Ross, the author of the Divine Nine?" I turn and go, ye...and then I'm STUNNED
