is a Red Kite that was found at the side of a road, extremely wet, muddy & cold. With temperatures so low, we can only imagine how bad it was feeling. After time in a large incubator, it was much brighter but sadly still not out of the woods. One wing appears to beā¦

1/2 The dormouse has to be one of the cutest species we get at Folly. We currently have 2 in our care both found by gardeners, meaning they couldnāt be safely left in the wild. Did you know they can hibernate for up to 7 months?! They often sleep leaf litter at the base ofā¦

1/2 šŖ¶ The 1st pic isnāt a blackbird, itās a starling! It came to us after getting stuck in a chimney. Covered in soot & with not knowing how long heād been trapped, he was kept in for monitoring and care. Once moved to a bigger enclosure & given his own bath, he wasted no timeā¦

A day of brilliant lifers for us. Platier dāOye reserve just outside Calais was bone dry with little about, but gave us Icterine Warbler & Natterjack Toad. Belgian reserve, Ploegsteert, near Lille gave us Little Bittern, Short-toed Treecreeper & a Goshawk. Happy birders šŖ¶š

Birdwatching in the Causses & CƩvennes National Park, France in the hope of seeing vultures. First we saw was a Lammergeier! Loads of Griffon and Black vultures in the Gorge de la Jonte. Plenty of Red Billed Choughs & Alpine Swifts. Excellent heatwave-escape birding at altitude

1/2 Weād like to say a huge thank you to Brookside Garden Centre, East Peckham. We were desperately looking for grass turf to give our badger cubs enrichment, but it seemed everywhere had either run out or couldn't help. Luckily Brookside came to the rescue with 50 rolls of turf for anā¦

1/ Young Swifts are very difficult
#birds
to care for. They never feed themselves & require support feeding from dawn to dusk until release. Their feathers must be protected to ensure they have the best chance at release as they will fly for at least 2 years without landing! Sadly their numbersā¦
