A day of brilliant lifers for us. Platier d’Oye reserve just outside Calais was bone dry with little about, but gave us Icterine Warbler & Natterjack Toad. Belgian reserve, Ploegsteert, near Lille gave us Little Bittern, Short-toed Treecreeper & a Goshawk. Happy birders 🪶😊

Our baby corvid unit has been at bursting point.These Jackdaws have moved out to an aviary where they’ll get ready to be released back to the wild. Corvids are lovely. They’re very inquisitive but noisy when hungry. We offer ear defenders to the lovely volunteers working with them! 🩷 #birds
