The opulent Chicago Theater is incredible both on the outside and the inside. This gorgeous theater was built in 1921 and is now the oldest surviving grand movie palace. On this particular evening we got to see The Yeah Yeah Yeahs perform here and they were just amazing.

Búðakirkja, often referred to as The Black Church of Búðir, is one of the most famous historical landmarks in Iceland. The church was established in 1703, but that structure eventually fell into disrepair due to the harsh elements. So in 1847 the current structure was built.

The basalt sea cliffs at Arnarstapi have been sculpted over time by volcanic activity and the continual pounding of the Atlantic waves. Today, we are left with these dramatic cliffs, arches, and sea caves. #iceland #photography

Snæfellsjökull is a glacier capped volcano in Snæfellsjökull Nat. Park, Iceland. Partly famous due to the novel Journey to the Center of the Earth by Jules Verne, where they find a passage leading to the center of the Earth on this mountain. Considered active but last erupted around 1800 years ago.

During the night of March 13, 1948, the English trawler Epine GY7 was caught in a storm and ran aground on the reefs east of Dritvik. The ship sank and 14 men lost their lives with only 5 survivors. Today, all along this beach you can see the pieces of rusted metal from the lost ship. #Iceland
