Utterly overjoyed by IT: Welcome to Derry in that it is essentially a Nightmare On Elm Street revival with a period setting. The overtly cruel adults in a kitschy town, the kids all having *very* specific fears, and the wonderfully surreal Nightmare sequences. So. Much. Fun.

FRIENDSHIP (DeYoung, 2025) might just be the hardest I've laughed at a comedy in years. I am truly living for this new era of Conner O'Malley just showing up in random arthouse films.

TERRIFIER (Leone, 2016) shows just how huge of an improvement its sequels have been. By far the most aimless of the franchise and probably the sleaziest as well. David Howard Thornton is still finding himself as Art here, not nearly the darkly funny fleischer-esque nightmare clown just yet.
