In the early 1970s, the idea of suburban Satanism, with middle-class couples dancing naked and sacrificing goats, gave the tabloids the horrors. WITCHCRAFT magazine tapped into that market, a bit like Mayfair crossed with Man, Myth and Magic. It was definitely bought for the articles. Honest.
