My new favorite movie is The Blackcoat's Daughter. I have never seen a twist so simultaneously gut wrenching and completely anticlimactic. I've been listening to the soundtrack all day as I write. Just wow.

I feel like I'm not getting better at watercolor and it's very frustrating. Theres something I'm missing about the process, the bigger picture. I'm not sure.

Deer, here representing Silver. Deer are often associated with sulfur in alchemy, but can also be associated with Artemis, aka Luna, and therefore silver and the moon. Alchemical symbolism is often incredibly arbitrary, which makes sense given it's syncretic origins. --- #silver #alchemy #deer

I cant wait to turn 40 so I can look back on my 30s with wistful sighs, thinking I completely wasted them.

Ive come to believe that the concept of "common sense" has convinced far too many people that they are smart without putting in any effort. It is no great sin to be an fool, but if you wish to be smart you have to be humble and learn from other, smarter people.

Things that scare me: -Heads/faces that are too big -Most bugs, esp. beetles -Things being silent when they shouldn't be -Realizing theres something there -Delusions, and becoming delusional -Realistic animal costumes (not furries or cartoon mascots)
